Born from the minds & hearts of five abnormally gifted Seattle musicians, MotherOfPearl has been leaving a rare, powerful impression on the minds & hearts of music lovers throughout the Seattle area, beginning with their live debut in November 2013.

Drawing from a widely-cast net of influences (listeners have reported many different strains of rock, pop, soul, jazz & electronic music, stirred together in a brew best described as "alternative soul") and an embarrassment of riches in the musicianship department (each member ranks among Seattle's most in-demand studio musicians), the band has quickly established renown for their meticulously crafted & distinctive songwriting, their commanding live shows & their utterly seamless ensemble mentality.

Over the course of their performance career, MotherOfPearl have shared the stage with a plethora of widely-known & diverse artists such as Blake Lewis, The Fall Of Troy, Skerik, Allen Stone, Shawn Smith, RA Scion, Tess Henley & Vox Mod (among many others), upon stages ranging from Showbox Sodo to The Crocodile Cafe to Chop Suey to Columbia City Theater to the annual Summer Meltdown Festival (among many others).

Working in tandem with Seattle recording legends such as Barrett Jones (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Sir Mix-A-Lot, etc) and Steve Fisk (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, etc), MotherOfPearl's debut single "Our Love/These Walls" was issued independently in December 2015 (on 7" vinyl, CD & digital download) to widespread acclaim across the globe, setting the stage for an exciting 2016 filled with select live appearances & preparation for their debut full-length LP.

"MotherOfPearl has a unique sound that juxtaposes pop, rock, r&b and soul. Each member of the band brings their own flavor that's palpable & tasty, and every time I see them they leave me wanting more." - Blake Lewis (American Idol 2007 Finalist, Recording Artist w/Arista Records & Tommy Boy Records)

"This band is something special. They have a gift of solid songwriting & soul. Christa Wells can control the crowd like no other." - KJ Sawka (Drummer & Producer w/Destroid & Pendulum, CEO of Impossible Records)

"It's always a blast to work with Christa Wells. I really dig how the voice, groove and sonics gel. Very organic. Kinda timeless." - Steve Fisk (Producer & Engineer w/Nirvana, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees)

"MotherOfPearl is an incredibly talented band that is all at once soulful, rocking & groovy. Christa Wells has a beautiful voice that makes you want to listen more & more, and Jeremy Lightfoot's groovin' bass chops keep everything tied together. Every player in the band is a seasoned pro, they were a pleasure to work with and I hope to do more in the future." - Barrett Jones (Producer & Engineer w/Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Presidents Of The United States Of America)
